about

New song from punk band Maybe Later, off their debut EP. Our Friends was written following the loss of a very close friend, John Chunk Ojeda. We've had too many friends die too young. While a few could not have been helped, far too many of these deaths were "preventable". Some were heroin overdoses. Quite a few fell asleep after mixing alcohol and pills or other drugs, and never woke up. Some of them were suicides. Deaths of despair. Our hearts go out to everyone who has suffered the untimely loss of loved ones. Please don't be afraid to ask for help if you or a friend are going through tough times. Below are some resources that can help:

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:
1-800-273-8255
We can all help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.

lyrics

Borrowed time is all that we have
And sorrow when everything just falls apart
I try so hard to no avail
My life is one big fail

Why do bad things always happen to good people these days?
It doesn't make any sense
I'm so fucking sick of it now
Our friends are leaving us too soon

Tomorrow isn't promised
So we follow what's right
Why can't we live our lives until we all are old and grey
If only you had stayed

Why do bad things always happen to good people these days?
It doesn't make any sense
I'm so fucking sick of it now
Our friends are leaving us too soon
